Celenia originates in the company Hotcom Informatik, which was established by Henrik Kristiansen in 1990. Hotcom Informatik developed and sold solutions for Navision. In 1999, the R&D department was spun off to form Celenia Software a/s. In 2000, Henrik Kristiansen sold Hotcom Informatik in order to focus on Celenia.
In 2001, Celenia established a development center in Kiev, Ukraine, and in 2008, a new development center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The development centers handle Celenia’s Add-on Products and Partner Services projects as well as development projects for Microsoft. The centers employ highly skilled programmers, systems designers and other IT professionals, who work with design and development of software, specialist testing, and documentation for both professionals and users.
